About a year ago I found Stepinstik.com when looking for a walking cane long enough for me. I'm 6'4" with long legs and about 300lbs. It is nearly impossible to find a walking cane that is both attractive and functional for someone my size and age (mid 30s). I decided to pull the trigger after talking to BubbaSam and ordered a custom Purple Heart stik with a stik sling and a brass coated steel ferrule. It was an excellent decision. About a week later a work of art showed up at my door, and I was able to relegate the ugly, Martin Crane (of the show Frasier) cane to emergency use only. For a year I've used the stik, which has survived heavy use (averaging 10 miles of walking per day) and gotten tons of compliments. One of my favourite features of the large brass handle is that I can slip the head under my belt when I quickly need both hands free, such as pulling my card from my wallet, for a shorter time than it is worth adjusting the sling for. The sling is excellent for when I need to put my cane away for longer periods, such as pushing a shopping cart. I loved the stik until today, when I got it caught in a machine at work and broke it. Even a machine couldn't beat the quality build. With the stik broken and splintered halfway through it still supported my weight, though I soon wrapped it in duct tape for my own sense of security and to prevent further degradation. As soon as I got home I ordered a new Purple Heart shaft to replace the broken shaft, and a new custom Bocote stik so I never have to pull out the terrible emergency cane again. Once I rebuild my stik, I expect to love it just as much! Sam has been amazing through the whole process, and has made the transition to assisted walking so much less painful. I used to be embarrassed to leave the house, but this makes me feel so much more confident. Now I know that not only is it excellent support, but it will hold up to so much more than the average use. With my use the rubber ferrule tips last about 6 months, though I change them for maintenance not due to wearing out. The metal ferrule tip keeps me secure in rough exterior terrain and ice by digging into the surface and locking in place. When it comes time for my next stik, I'm going to talk to Sam about creating one with threaded connections like a pool cue, so I can have one that can be collapsed for easier transport in/on vehicles. I hope BubbaSam keeps it up, for I'm sold for life. |

Almost hate to say it... but I love this walking stick! I have been ultra active my entire life (I just turned 52). Due to my employment choice in life, I ended up with a .45 slug in my hip. Needless to say, I had to choose a new profession. (I now work road construction... slightly less pay, but lots less stress. Just got to worry about getting run over... an easy thing.) This is my first cane. I have nothing to compare it to but it looks and feels epic. Only complaint is the the engraving is not quite deep enough, otherwise my cane rules. BubbaSam Comment: THANK YOU for your Testimonial! The Engraver has been Updated to allow a deeper engraving. This also allows the letters to sparkle more. |

I love walking in the foothills and pathways around here, and my new StepinStik Staff is perfect for doing that. It's perfect for maintaining balance on uneven ground, chasing off a belligerent rattlesnake, and if the need ever arises, self-defense. I own an assortment of high-tech hiking poles and staffs, but this one is now among my favorites. It works well and looks great doing it. Thank you!! |

About 2 years ago I started using just a Mahogany BubbaStik and received plenty of compliments on it. I decided to upgrade to a StepinStik Exotic with a brass hame, Tigerwood shaft, Horse Hair Tassel and an Air Force Medallion. I do believe I use the Stik backwards but one phone call to BubbaSam and he knew exactly what I needed. Now being a woodworker myself I can honestly say what got delivered rather quickly was not only a top quality cane but also a work of art. It's beautiful! I'll have to save my money and get one Bocote seeing that's my favorite wood! :) (See More Customer Photos HERE) |

My Mahogany StepinStik arrived EXACTLY as ordered. It's simply wonderful to use! Very easy on my hand! I had a brain tumor operation 3.5 years ago and it left me with left side balance & motor control issues (nervous system). I've been walking 3 to 5 miles per day & using a Palm Grip Cane. I will now be using my new StepinStik each & every day for all of my walking! Thanks for a GREAT PRODUCT!!!! |

Purchased my stik at the Love's Truck Stop on I-5 near Napavine. I had seen them there before and decided to pick one up. I have to say it is the sturdiest and nicest walking stick I've ever owned. Thanks for making such a great product. |

Thank you for my new Stik! I love it... came out better than I was thinking! I love how you put a little stain on the leather to make my name 'pop' out in contrast. With your permission.. I would like to put your links on my pages, I love your product!
Thanks again (See More Customer Photos HERE) |

I am a 43 year-old single mother. I became disabled a few years ago and found myself having trouble walking. A few years earlier, my mom had seen the BubbaStik at a local truck stop in Texas where she lives. After realizing that I needed some help, she ordered one for me. The BubbaStik is awesome! It is so beautiful and stylish that I am not embarrassed to use it in public. It gives me the complete feeling of stability with its solid weight and construction. My name is burned into the wood which is really terrific looking too. People ask me about my BubbaStik wherever I go. It has become quite the conversation starter. Those with canes of much lesser quality are amazed at how well constructed and beautiful mine is. This year, I am going to buy two more to give as Christmas presents to my aging in-laws. They have been admiring mine, and it is time that they got to enjoy the benefits of having their own too. Thank you so much for making such a wonderful product. It has truly become an extension of my physical self. Wherever I go, my BubbaStik goes. |
